Who should attend?
- Any Christian that seeks the calling from God to become more effective in reaching juvenile offenders and/or at-risk youth.
What is taught?
- The workshop provides an in-depth overview of the world of high-risk youth
- Experienced and highly trained staff teaches ways Christians can more effectively minister to them.
Sessions cover such topics as:
- Orientation into Juvenile Justice Ministry
- The Biblical basis for troubled youth ministries
- Understanding a troubled teen’s worldview
- Understanding the juvenile justice system
- What it takes to reach “at-risk” youth
- If we say it, will they understand?
The mission of Full Circle Refuge Ministries is to curb the cycle of juvenile crime and produce positive leaders in society by connecting troubled youth to positive adult role models. Full Circle Refuge engages people from local churches with the needs of juvenile institutions, providing the screening and training necessary for them to contribute significantly to programs serving juvenile offenders.
Churches are not mere buildings; they are made up of potential employers, positive peers, and caring adults who can minister to the needs of a youth’s family and help fill the missing gap when a youth is released back into the community.
The process begins in juvenile institutions with group Bible studies, one-on-one relationships, tutoring, performing arts and Sunday services. Full Circle Refuge currently operates programs in juvenile facilities, which offers programs to about a 1000 youth per month.
Full Circle Refuge, Inc. is an affiliate of Straight Ahead Ministries, Inc. and is a volunteer-led program that has helped juvenile justice facilities in over a dozen states meets their requirements for religious programs
