Seed Planters and Fruit Inspectors UPDATE
People should think of us as servants of Christ and managers who are entrusted with God’s mysteries. Managers are required to be trustworthy.
1 Corinthians 4:1-2(GWT)
Dear Friend,
A new year should begin with good news--and I've got plenty! Especially for a valued spiritual partner like you who has a heart for the thousands of youth without Christ.
As we begin 2010, FCR Ministries would like to say “THANK YOU!” for making 2009 a successful year of ministry to “At-Risk Youth” across the Southeast. With your help, we concluded 2009 with:
q Changed lives of many young people in the YDCs, Schools, Churches, and the Streets all over the Southeast. Over 15,000 “at-risk” teens attended FCR events – Chapel services, Bible Discussion Groups, Promise Groups, Gang Awareness Presentations, and One Degree at a Time Groups. There are over 500 kids that now have “HOPE IN CHRIST!” with a new “The Evidence Bible”. Also, we are continually disciplining over 1000 boys and girls each month through FCRs Prayer Pal Program and 35 Bible Discussion Groups.
q Conducted over 50 Gang Interventions to see disenfranchised young people “Change the Way They Think & Act”.
q God allowed us to safely travel over 60,000 miles to get everything accomplished!
This is what will last for eternity for our lives and these young minds.
As we continue to do these events I see so many young minds hungry for the TRUTH. However, we don’t have many church folks stepping up to “go and share”.
When he saw the crowds, he felt sorry for them. They were troubled and helpless like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, "The harvest is large, but the workers are few. So ask the Lord who gives this harvest to send workers to harvest his crops."
Matthew 9: 36-39(GWT)
So, I’m asking! Please join us in prayer for workers, because the doors are wide open for “The TRUTH” to be shared with thousands of at-risk youth across the Southeast right now.
Most of FCR volunteers, donors, and supporters have stayed with us from the beginning. You are all our voices for FCR. Can you share with another person this year about FCR?
q Our mission is: To see Jesus transform the lives of at-risk youth and juvenile offenders.
q Our vision is: To create and implement Biblical intervention strategies that address juvenile crime and its underlying problems by focusing on the re-direction of youth to Jesus Christ.
q Our commitment is: To bring the Gospel to young people who are from various ethnic, religious and social backgrounds.
Briefly recapping, after 10 years, some of “seed planting & fruit inspecting” through Full Circle Refuge includes: (1) Bible discussion groups on 12 campuses across the Southeast; (2) Mentoring for adolescents who might be label “at-risk”; (3) Community Aftercare for juvenile offenders after release from YDCs; (4) Education about gangs within their areas of cities and towns in the Southeast; (5) Training regarding problems with gangs and the solution to make communities gang-free; (6) Help to teach the church community how to reach youth at-risk in the community and in YDC; (7) A Biblical-based addiction series called “Living a Life of Promise” each week ; (8) A new addition to FCR: One Degree at a Time-“Change The Way You Think & Act” for high-risk young men.
Please remember to share about Full Circle Refuge with another person this year!!
Thank you for the full partnership you provide though your ongoing prayers, financial support/gifts, and dedicated volunteer service to this ministry and its mission!!
