TO SEE JESUS CHRIST TRANSFORM THE LIVES OF AT-RISK YOUTH & JUVENILE OFFENDERS

JUVENILE JUSTICE MINISTRIES
Lock-Up, At-Risk, Gangs

THE COMMUNITY HAS NOT GIVEN UP ON THEM [AT-RISK YOUTH]

Full Circle Refuge, Inc. was established as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt Nonprofit Corporation in the State of Georgia in 1999 and operates in both Georgia and South Carolina. "Full Circle" signifies the goal of restoring broken lives by coming alongside them on a journey that leads them full circle to a new life in Jesus Christ. "Refuge" represents a safe haven for open discussion and relationship building.

We began 25 years ago with Bible discussion groups in a few local Youth Development Campuses (YDC) operated by the Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ).  Ministry leaders were allowed in by DJJ officials who were desperately looking for ways to make a difference in the ‘revolving-door’ juvenile justice system.  Since that time the ministry has seen many lives turned around, thanks to the support of the DJJ, volunteers from local churches and the redeeming power of Christ.

Getting involved in a young person's life

can be transformational for them and YOU.

Who Can Volunteer?

If you feel called and have a caring heart, God can use you.  Many at-risk youth experience isolation, discouragement, and a lack of positive adult role models.  They need caring individuals who will listen, accept, and walk alongside them.

What Does it Take to Become a Volunteer?

You don't need to be a social worker or a youth worker to volunteer. We welcome individuals from all walks of life who have a passion for helping at-risk youth discover God's love and purpose for their lives. We're looking for people who are willing to love these kids as they are, be transparent with them, and learn from the experience.

To get involved simply fill out a quick form and we will contact you about next steps.

SERVICES & PROGRAMS

Full Circle Refuge grew out of the God-given vision of Rev. Devon Harris to reach at-risk youth, whether incarcerated or in the community, and share with them the transforming Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Financial support is crucial now more than ever, as it enables Full Circle Refuge to provide services to youth in the Southeast who are at-risk, incarcerated, and /or in an aftercare program. Your generosity can help us expand our reach to help reduce delinquency, violence, and gang involvement in our communities.

MAKE THE MINISTRY POSSIBLE

Don’t become like the people of this world. Instead, change the way you think and act. Then you will always be able to determine what God really wants—what is good, pleasing, and perfect.

OUR VISION
To create and implement Biblical intervention strategies that address juvenile crime and its
underlying problems by focusing on the re-direction of youth to Jesus Christ.

OUR VALUES & PRINCIPLES

  • Prayer is foundational.

  • Dependence upon God for funding and direction.

  • Foster an environment for the personal, professional, and spiritual growth of volunteers and youth.

  • Programs are merely a context for meaningful adult-youth relationships.

  • Each program is voluntary and based upon the youth's choice.

  • Emphasis on volunteers being called by God into the ministry.

  • Equipped and supervised volunteers are primary means of ministry to youth.

OUR GOALS

  • That every juvenile institution would be open to ministry.

  •  That every at-risk youth and juvenile offender would be given the opportunity to hear and respond to the Gospel.

  • That every Christian called to juvenile offender ministry would be fully trained.

  • That every believing at-risk youth and juvenile offender would be offered discipleship.

Full Circle Refuge is composed of individuals called from different churches across the CSRA. It is governed by a board of directors who are actively involved in planning, policy development, financial management, and program oversight.
