One of my mentors, the late Dr. Edwin Louis Cole, in his book, Manhood 101 states: “God always ends everything on a positive”. As I take on the tasks before me in the ministry of making myself available to help see to it that the needs of young boys are met, day in and day out, I constantly find myself repeating the above quote. I’ve witnessed great results and have had life changing moments with some of the young men I encounter. Due to private donors, I was able to actually remain a part of some of their lives throughout the summer, while school was out. This was so important because the rules are very different in regards to meeting with them in a school environment as opposed to meeting up with them outside of a school environment. This summer I was able to teach the young men the ultimate comparison and example of manhood, Jesus Christ. We had great sessions for 6 weeks and ended each session in prayer, something that is not allowed in school.
As God continues to use me, on behalf of Full Circle Refuge, Inc., my life has been under personal attack from the enemy, with my finances suffering the most. Funding has dried up in some of the areas where there once was available funding. My prayer is that God will touch the hearts of those who have the Heart of God to support me in my endeavors to minister to these young men in an effective and one on one personal kind of way. Although at times it seems that I will not be able to execute the office of this ministry effectively, the Holy Spirits always brings to my memory the words of Dr. Edwin Louis Cole: “God always ends everything on a positive”. (Philippians 4:19) Amen.
